"The windsor.collection is a collection for contemporary photography, which is based on the artistic concepts of the 90s. It is broadened by also integrating works that are significant in the history of art, whose subjects point towards current photography.
The windsor.collection demonstrates how pictures move between the different visual cultures, influencing and interacting with each other."

windsor. When a natural sense of style and clarity of perception lead to the same confident conclusion.
How good that windsor. isn't fashion. It is a style, a value, a principle. How good that windsor. translates the spirit of the times into perfection. How wonderful when it's such a consummate and generous invitation to individuality that leaves snobbery to those who need it.
windsor. makes it possible to experience how timeless modernity, how refreshing and lucid elegance, how casual personal style, and how captivating and unconventional success can be.
windsor. is neither clothing nor a collection that possesses a desire to underline, signify or express. It is an eloquent translation of the word “Confidence” in terms of tailoring perfection and craftsmanship. The knowledge that apparel must be not only a visual sensation, but also a sensual and sensuous pleasure. The more you know, the less you show.
Glamour shines brightest in understatement. For windsor. the intellectual vitamins vital to life are found in subtle breaks and contrasts of humans. You break conventions with love, a love for style, too. Perfection for you is only then a pleasure when crowned with casual style and individual details. Your self-confidence is charming, because you take just as much care in the selection of your wardrobe as you do when choosing your friends.
The only luxury you allow yourself is a luxurious life. The only reason to lose your belief in yourself is when this belief becomes intrinsic knowledge.
True elegance is revealed by a natural acceptance of personal extravagance.
A wearer of windsor. obeys no rules, he has them under control. No greed for success, success is a matter of fact. No search for style, he wears the suits that signify his unique identity.
You can't deny your instincts. You don't like reproductions of art, tuned cars, flashy clothes and – above all – snobs. But you have a passion for Japanese knives, Swiss watches, elegant personal stationery – and enjoying life. You can't deny your instincts. So treat them to something you know they'll love. windsor.
Thankfully, conservative suits are a thing of the past. Thankfully, heavy suiting is no longer a sign of luxury. Thankfully, innovative subtlety and a carefully crafted buttonhole are no longer mutually exclusive. windsor. is – thankfully – not a fashion label but a lifestyle statement.
windsor. is the conviction that perfection is the greatest forum for individuality. windsor. stands not only for impeccable taste, but for an attitude that is the epitome of intelligence, elegant intelligence. A collection for those whose style cannot be copied. People whose charisma is nourished by diversity, for whom arrogance is as remote as the idea of hanging up reproductions of art.
windsor. is worn by people who don’t read the lines on dress code policies, people who are unfamiliar with the meanings of “overdressed” or “underdressed”, because they know there is only one natural way to dress. They move effortlessly in the luxurious world of style. A windsor. man doesn't leaf through glossy fashion magazines, he publishes them. A windsor. woman doesn't read interviews in the magazines, she does the interviews.
The windsor. tradition is long and has always been far removed from ephemeral trends. It is built on indestructible pillars: elegant ease, premium Italian fabrics, distinctive cuts and the perfection of tailoring craftsmanship. Men and women who choose windsor. require no suit of armour. Their character is armour enough. They expect the same ease of movement in the clothing they wear as with the ease that carries them through life.
A confident spirit and the success with which one makes real friends – these are the materials careers are made of – or garments that are just as timelessly modern, charismatic and classic as their name: windsor.
You are intelligent, you have class, you keep the world in motion with ease, intelligence and elegance, you recognise perfection as an expression of free will, you never copy and don’t allow yourself to be copied, you have no need to seek success, you are successful. Because no other option exists.

The Holy Fashion Group is owned by the Jochen & Uwe Holy family.
The Group is managed by Group CEO Reiner Pichler.
1889 The two businessmen Leo Roos and Isidor Kahn set up the Roos & Kahn gentlemen's clothing factory in Bielefeld. Bielefeld was already one of the strongholds of the German textile industry with a highly-developed business structure. The factory produced gentlemen's clothing made of linen, and lustre and loden materials. The main emphasis was on coats, trousers and jackets.
1902 Pioneering innovations such as sewing machines and ironing presses were introduced. The product range was extended to include suits and sports jackets.
1938 In view of the tense political situation the partners decided to sell the company. The new owner, F. Niemann, who owned a weaving mill and dealt in textiles wholesale, developed the company into an industrial business over the years.
1960 The managing partner Günter Klasing, who had a preference for expensive English fabrics, took over the company and gave it a new name: Windsor Kleiderwerk G. Klasing KG.
Specialising in manufacturing men's suits and coats was the beginning of a new fashion philosophy: lightweight fabrics, fine workmanship, a fashionable line – things that are now taken for granted at windsor. but at that time were an experimental innovation on the German market.
1965 windsor. made a successful breakthrough to the top of the fashion industry. Working with famous designers and the best-known suppliers of material, along with a licensing contract with Pierre Cardin, resulted in an unmistakable, self-confident style.
1970 R. A. Oetker took over windsor. and built the present administration and production buildings.
1977 The windsor. womenswear collection was introduced. Arising out of the know-how acquired over so many years, the womenswear quickly established itself as an independent superior label which met the highest standards.
1983 Windsor GmbH was taken over by U.J. Textil Handels GmbH & Co. KG. A consistent brand strategy was followed.
1990 The first licence contract was awarded. Brendel-Lunettes became the licensee for the windsor. eyewear collection.
1991 The licence for the designer label JOOP! Menswear was taken over by windsor GmbH.
1997 Opening of the first windsor. store in Berlin. Customer, space and goods were harmoniously united here by means of a sensitive concept. The result is a perfectly coordinated accord between brand characteristics such as timelessness and perfection, the demands of the customer and the ideal presentation of the goods.
1999 New brand communication by means of a different kind of advertising, with a new message and a new logo. The concept of meeting – “Meetings in Windsor” – was still used, but presented in a new form: various international art photographers showed “film clips from life” in different international cities.
2000 The second windsor. store was opened in Hamburg
2001 Opening of a store for womenswear only in Düsseldorf.
The licence for the designer label JOOP! Jeans was taken over by Windsor GmbH in both womenswear and menswear.
Opening of the first windsor. store in Beijing, China.
To strengthen synergies and market efficiency further, the shareholders Jochen and Uwe Holy prepared the ground for closer cooperation between the two companies Windsor GmbH, Bielefeld and Strellson AG, Kreuzlingen/Switzerland. In order to be able to act as a group in the global competition, they based the brand management of both firms at Strellson AG. The menswear under the windsor. label was transferred completely to Kreuzlingen for the Autumn/Winter 2005 collection. The womenswear remained at Windsor GmbH in Bielefeld.
2006 Windsor. GmbH in Bielefeld took over the licence for JOOP! Women, starting with the JOOP! collection Spring/Summer 2008.
2008 In August, opening of the third windsor. store in Munich.
2009 In July, opening of the fourth windsor. store in Salzburg.
2010 In July, opening of the windsor. store Sylt, Kampen/Sylt
The business philosophy of windsor. is concerned not only with fashionable and innovative products and a high quality level, but also with respect for basic human and employee rights, in order to ensure socially acceptable working conditions.
This is why windsor. developed its own Code of Conduct years ago, to guarantee minimum social standards in the manufacture of its products. In order to be able to fulfil this social responsibility even more effectively, windsor. joined the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) on 01.01.08. The BSCI was founded by the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) in March 2003 and now consists of more than 100 retail traders, industrial and import firms from 10 countries. One great advantage of the BSCI is its common monitoring and qualification system for lasting improvement of working conditions in the global supply chain. By joining the BSCI, windsor. has replaced its former Code of Conduct with that of the BSCI.
